I don't think "areas of private anatomy" is an especially apt term, considering that it's not terribly private on animals, and it's not that precise on humans. People have different views on what anatomy is private. If "genital area" is what is meant (and I think it is), that should be the term that is used.

It would be useful to have such technology available to all designers, but simply following "suggested rules of good design" will have to serve. Oh, well; pity.

News design is as different per publication, as perhaps it should ever be.... who else wants to look like the WSJ?

I do think, however, there are academic grant monies to be won, clients to be served here. Though my memory gets worse with age, it seems that capitalism prevails.

Perhaps a corollary is called-for to what scientist Svent-Gyorski once wrote ("a 'substance' is that which, when injected into an animal, produces a paper"), which might go thus: "when research might produce happier readers and more retained information and produce more dollars per view, a technology will be developed that will quantitate 'practical reason' and avoid at all costs 'art'."

Sorry for my awkward writing-- I loved the piece!

Rodney Hobson's comments surprise me.

The first set of graphics alone speak for themselves, and it took me about a minute to get the gist of it.

Any advice on web page presentation can only be a good thing and this is a new one on me. Logical when you think about it though.

Well, if you bailed out early you likely missed the, um, item toward the end of the story that elicited links from what seems like every blog in the universe yesterday. ;-)

(FWIW, the website you say, in your user profile, that you edit is a MFA parked domain. What's up with that?)
