Defamation case overturned; bloggers see victory

The California Superme Court turned over a 2002 Santa Clara county court decision that awarded Varian Medical Systems $770,000 from bloggers charged with defamation. The decision, which came Thursday, allows bloggers and Varian ex-employees Michelangelo Delfino and Mary Day to continue posting about Varian. The decision also provides the two with a new trial.
