SOJRA is concerned how the situation of the detainees has been changed

Mogadishu: 19-September, 2008 The Somali Journalists Rights Agency (SOJRA) is concerned the shocked photos of the detainees that Aljezeers Tv presented. The Photos expressed that the detainees were forced and transgressed their basic rights of the human Rights.
SOJRA is very sad how the situation of the detainees has been changed. journalist Amanda lendhood Canadian citizen and Photo Journalist Nigel Brennan Australian Citizen there for SOJRA learnt that the detainees are currently held by Mujaahidiin Al-islaamiya that is a group disconnected the Islamic courts union and this group is led by Sheikh Yusuf Mohamed Siad "Indha Adde" who was the former secretary defend of the Islamic Courts Union.
"We are kindly requesting Skeikh Yusuf Mohamed Siad "Indha Adde" and his group to release the Journalists immediately with out condition as they respect the International Declaration of the Human Rights" said Daud Abdi Daud SOJRA's Executive Director.," We tried our efforts how to release the detained Journalists, as we brought together delegates from Aiyr Clan and authorities from Canadian high commissioner in Nairobi and other delegates from Australia in order to discuss how to release the detained journalists with out condition. And they met two times" he added.
Abductions are common in the lawless Horn of Africa nation, where Islamist insurgents have been fighting the interim government and its Ethiopian military allies since early 2007.
Somalia is also one of the most dangerous places in the world for journalists to operate. Many reporters have been attacked and at least 10 journalists have been killed since the start of the insurgency last year.
