Kismayo: 20 September,2008 Al-shabaab Group continues media transgressions in coastal town of Kismaayo in southern Somalia

This meeting was arranged by Al-shabaab Militiamen and chaired by Sh. Hassan Yacquub Ali Al-shabaab media coordinator of Lower Jubba Region and during this meeting, four Articles were spelled to the journalists to apply when they are preparing a reports about Al-shabaab and through out Islamic militiamen where ever they are in Somalia.
These four Articles are as follows:-
1- The journalists are ordered when they are preparing a reports about Kismaayo administration not say the Islamic opposition Groups against the TFG and the Ethiopian Troops staying in Somalia but to say the Islamic administration of Kismaayo.
2- 2-the Journalists are ordered to register the Islamic administration of Kismaayo so as to receive media recognition.
3- The Journalists are ordered to present accurate reports when they are preparing News about the region
4- The administration will supervise how the media works in the region.
They Al-shabaab and Journalists promised to come back another meeting due to take place on Sunday 12/09/2008.
Somalia, mired in chaos and violence since 1991, is among the world's most dangerous countries for journalists.
At least tenth (10) journalists have been killed in Somalia since the start of the insurgency and Islamic movements last year.
