Mogadishu:: 21 September,2008 The Somali Journalists Rights Agency (SOJRA) is lashing to day the Somali Red Crescent (SRC) in Las'anod Branch becouse of The arrest of Abdi-qani was ordered by head of Somaliland police division in Las Anood, Mr Abdi Muse. When Puntland office of SOJRA contacted the journalist in the prison in police station, the journalist said the SRC head in Las Anood was behind as the police officer told Abdiqani.

“We ask all forces for human rights and freedom of expression to make action against Somali Red Crescent in Las Anod and the Somaliland Police in order to impress that this arrest is intolerable and one that urgent action needs to be taken against this shamefully and also unlawful imprisonment" said Daud Abdi Daud SOJRA's Executive Director.

In addition SOJRA is gravely concerned about the growing press freedom crisis and violations in Somalia particularly in the southern city of Kismayo according to our focal-point, therefore the last month 5 journalists were fleeing in Kismayo for the sake of fear by the sides who are struggling the policy in the city.
