Women Journalists in Action commemorates the International Peace Day 21st Sep, 2008

This ceremony commemorating the International Peace Day 21 September 2008 was held at Barakaat Hotel on 21st September 2008. The Ceremony was smartly arranged by Women Journalists in Action (WOJA)

This commemoration was widely participated by various heads from the international aid agencies, Somali Civil Societies, the Foreign Embassies based in Nairobi, the foreign relation Minister of Putland Satate of Somalia Mr.Ali Abdi Aware, Somlink Dr. Abdulkadir Hussien Maalin who is also CO-Chair of Good Governce of Somalia, Singers, comedies, Journalists, SOJRA Executive Director Mr.Daud Abdi daud, coordinator of the Association for better living +Education (ABLE) Kenya good will tour Miss. Pegsy Crawford, Executive Director of ABLE of Africa Miss. Cathie Robertson and they, participants all congratulated WOJA on the successful holding the commemoration of the International Peace Day which was marked like to day through out of the World.

Firstly, the Ceremony was inaugurated by WOJA President Miss. Fardows Shiekh Hassan known as (Korea) who thanked the participants for their participation.

As well, this Ceremony was spoken by Miss. Sahra Mohamud Koronto ( Sahra Keif) , the General Co-coordinator of WOJA and she presented there the activities of WOJA and she has also delivered a call to the Somali people to work the side of peace since Somalia was a lack of peace more than 19 years.

This Ceremony was concluded in frankly atmosphere as the Somali Singers and Comedies entertained a peaceful literature to the participants of the ceremony.
