I'm currently a freelance financial and technology reporter, editor, copywriter and translator (though I will be a corporate drone again soon). Last job was running a weekly trade journal on technology and operations in the financial services industry. Next job will be in corporate communications for a consultancy in related fields. I taught rhetoric and literature at the college level for six years while doing a Ph.D. in obscure humanities disciplines. I live in Brooklyn and Brazil.

My motto is this: Journalism isn't rocket science: anyone can do it, if they can spare the time and attention. The only difference between the pro and the amateur, in principle, is that getting paid for it just makes it easier to spend 24-7 obsessing over whatever it is you cover.
