Chet McMaster received his undergrad from Chicago's DePaul University in 2007, where he majored communications with a concentration in journalism, in addition to a double-minor in English and political science.

He wrote public affairs stories for small community newspaper on Chicago's west side at that time, in addition to completing various internship work around NBC5, WTTW/PBS and the Chicago Sun-Times and WBEZ-NPR.

As of May 2008, Chet is reporting for a small daily newspaper in Northwest Illinois.
