Nick Kump

Nick Kump is an account executive at Elmets Communications in Sacramento, where he plays an integral role in message management, speech writing, coalition building and media relations efforts. Prior to joining the Elmets team, he was an officer candidate in the U.S. Marine Corps, but injured his shoulder in officer school. Kump is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communication, where he studied public relations, marketing and integrated communications.
Kump has experience in consumer product launches, branding, sports, financial services and healthcare public relations as well as grassroots political campaigning. His diverse job and life experiences have helped shape his unique and comprehensive view of the media and government.
Kump currently holds a teaching credential in California and is a certified EMT-1 Basic. He is an avid chess player and has been blogging on various issues since 2007.
