OJR: The Online Journalism Review

Happy holidays, from OJR

We're about to take a short break here on OJR, reappearing after the New Year's holiday, but I first wanted to take a moment to wish you a very happy holiday season and to thank you for reading OJR.

It's been, uh, an interesting year for OJR. But I think I can say, without doubt, that if it were not for your very public support of the site, OJR would not be here at its new home at the Knight Digital Media Center. So, thank you.

As we enter the new year, I would like to renew my invitation to each of you to become a writer for OJR. OJR readers are (almost exclusively) new media and journalism professionals, people who are doing what we write about here.

So, who better than you to share your experiences? To ask the questions we'd all like to see answered? To rail against ineffectiveness and to offer hope with a solutions that have worked for you?

Appearing on the webpages of OJR also provides and excellent way to get your name out in front of other journalism professionals, something that increasingly will be important as each of us sets out in 2009 to build our own way forward in this industry.

If you would be interested in writing for us, just one time or one some more frequent basis, drop me a note via my website. You needn't have a piece ready to go; I can work with you to hone ideas.

Again, though, happy holidays... and thank you for reading.
