This is very nice article. Yes, a number of really good reporters experimenting with sustaining their commitment to high-quality journalism and still operate in this news medium. I think Eric is very talented and he used to be at the Star Tribune, he's very open with the reader and style is so different from others. Thanks

I live in Minneapolis and I'm a huge fan of MinnPost. Its trustworthy, reliable, professional, and, quite often, fun. Its nice to see a link to their site in your story. I am also a fan of the Twin Cities Daily Planet and the many stories from its staff and other area journalists. I am disappointed to see that there's no link to their site and I'd like to rectify that here.
As their mission statement says, "The Twin Cities Daily Planet is conceived as an experiment in participatory journalism, built on a partnership between professional journalists and individual citizens." I don't believe they promote some kind of amateur journalism in carrying out that mission. Also, in spite of dealing with the same challenges as MinnPost in finding a successful business model and attracting readers, they seem to be doing as well as MinnPost in their search for what works in this new media environment while also being trustworthy, reliable, professional, and, quite often, fun. Not better, but not worse. I'll contribute money to both.
